HELP! i accidentally dropped my cell phone in water, how can i get it to work again?!?

ok i accidentally dropped my verizon samsung gusto phone in some water, its completely wet, and when i dried it out and put the battery back in it showed the verizon sign and vibrated none stop so i took it out PLEASE tell me how to get it working FAST bc im texting my boyfriend PLEASE HELP PLEASE PLEASE
