I want to make my boyfriend a friendship bracelet for a graduation present, or is that not enough?

I wanted to make a friendship bracelet for him because he is going away for college while I'm staying at home. And i thought it would be a good idea to do becuase I thought it would be sentimental and sweet :) and he does have friendship bracelets so I know he likes them. But my question is if that's enough? Or should I even make him one at all and that would be a dumb gift? :c this is making me paranoid. Pleasee helppp!
